THE SENIOR PROGRAMME

The Senior Programme caters to girls aged 13 to 14.
Girls to complete SIX BADGES:

  • Service

 

THE PIONEER PROGRAMME

The Pioneer Programme caters to girls aged between 15 to 18.
Girls to complete SIX BADGES:
  • Girls' Brigade International (GBI)
  • Healthy Attitudes 2 (HA2)
  • Spiritual
  • Physical
  • Educational (comprising FIRST AID badge & an educational component)
  • Service

Drill Badge

As a uniformed group, DRILL helps to instil discipline, unity and respect in our girls. Drill stage badges are awarded upon passing each drill stage. There are THREE drill stage badges to reflect the proficiency level of drill attained.

Drill Stage 1 – BLUE (required for promotion to Staff Sergeant)
Drill Stage 2 – RED
Drill Stage 3 – YELLOW

As a uniformed group, drill helps to instill discipline, unity and respect in our girls. Drill is a compulsory element of The Girls' Brigade Singapore. Drill stage badges are awarded upon passing each drill stage.

 

Service Awards

For every year that a girl has attended at least 75% of her Company meetings, she will be awarded a Service Award for that year.

Special Achievement Badges

 

SENIOR PIN PIONEER PIN PIONEER BRIGADER BROOCH
 

The Senior Pin is awarded to girls who have completed ALL the six senior badges and attained Service Awards for both senior years.

The Pioneer Pin is awarded to girls who have completed ALL the six pioneer badges including first aid, and also the Drill stage 1 badge. They must also have attained Service Awards for their three years in GB.

The Pioneer Brigader Brooch (PBB) is the highest award at National level that a girl can attain before the age of 18.

Leadership Training

Zonal NCOs training camp (NCOTC) is held in June of each year and brings together Lance Corporals and Corporals from all Companies for the next level of leadership training. The zonal camp provides opportunities for the girls to learn from and have fun with one another, and build friendships across Companies.

Leadership Conference
Leadership Conference is a one-day workshop for all girls in their final year in Secondary school. It aims to equip girls with skills to make important decisions as they move on to the next stage of their lives. It provides them with the opportunity to learn how to respond and handle relationships, and to carry themselves as leaders. They can be promoted to the next rank after attending the Conference.
