OVERVIEW

For girls who want to serve and hone leadership skills after graduation. Each series of activities and tasks will lead to their promotion to Warrant Officer. Girls from different companies gather once a month for trainings, outings, planning, projects or workshops that define the core concepts of SPARKS.

 


OBJECTIVE

The programme aims to:

  • Inspire the girls to live a purposeful life by creating platforms for teachable moments and to push the envelope
  • Mentor and mobilize young leaders to impact the destiny of the Nations

OUTLINE

Before being Deployed, girls will go on a journey to Discover & Develop 'SELF' hence the SELF-DEVELOPMENT segment, the anchor of our program, where girls will Inculcate Core Values, Build Characters and Develop Competencies. Challenging girls to go beyond what they are capable of by ~ Going that Extra Mile ~

OUTCOME

After completing the FIVE core components of leadership-training sessions, workshop,outings, planning sessions, and projects(duration of 8-10 months), girls are eligible for promotion to the rank of Warrant Officer. The whole process comes to an end with the girls attending a retreat to end the journey.

After their promotion, Warrant Officers will continue to serve by carrying out various duties (e.g. represent GB at youth events; render service at national events; assist officers/teachers in their companies and/or at other companies). WO badges will be awarded for their service each year.

REGISTRATION

Girls will register into the Tertiary Programme by filling up the application form. Meet-up session is once a month. Although it is optional, girls are strongly encouraged to undertake a variety of voluntary and challenging activities in the 5 areas of the NYAA Programme, namely Physical Recreation, Adventurous Journey, Residential Project, Skills Development, and Service.
